I am currently serving as an elected member on the Upper Harbour Local Board and I am seeking your support for re-election. I was born and raised on the shore and currently I live in Paremoremo with my husband, two children and pets. I love spending time in our fantastic green spaces and on our harbour.

I have no affiliation to any political party, I’m proud to be a community independent and part of Living Upper Harbour.

Upper Harbour is growing fast and experiencing growth pains. Not all the growth is resulting in good outcomes for our communities. We need to fight to ensure the Upper Harbour way of life is not left behind. I will continue to work hard for our community. That includes advocating for more open green spaces and better places for our community to enjoy, encouraging a strong sense of community, supporting our strong business community and fighting for better transport options.

Throughout the past three years I have held regular events in many locations around the Upper Harbour to hear community views. I have a record of speaking up in support of Upper Harbour communities. This term despite limited funds I have helped get a new playground started (in Scott Point), thanks to the careful use of our transport fund more children area able to walk to school than when I started and playgrounds and walking tracks are getting upgraded and renewed. More volunteers care for the environment in more areas than when I started and we have increased the funding to support and care for these volunteers. Long term projects are underway such as as new sports fields in Hobsonville, upgrade of sports fields in Unsworth Heights, a shared path linkage through Rosedale Park. Many things take longer than a three year election cycle to implement, but due to our planning we have plans in place to protect and enhance the environment even further, to provide access to our open green spaces, to provide facilities and activities where the community can enjoy.

I am seeking re-election to continue to offer my enthusiasm, business acumen, leadership and collaborative style to fiercely advocate for the Upper Harbour Area.
